What a Cup of Tea Can Teach You About Intuition

Have you ever had a long day of work, appointments, or errands, and by the time you get home all you want to do is relax?

Maybe you take a shower, change into comfortable clothes, and finally settle into the safety of your own home. You let out a sigh. Your shoulders soften. Your mind begins to slow down.

You are no longer rushing from one thing to the next.

This is the feeling I often get when drinking tea.

A cup of tea invites me to pause. It gives me a moment to relax, clear my mind, and settle into myself. It is often in these quiet moments that intuition becomes easier to hear.

For me, this is one of the best times to do a reading. Not because tea is magical, but because I am comfortable. I am not forcing anything. I am simply present.

The same thing can happen when two people share tea together. The conversation becomes more natural. There is less pressure to perform and more room to connect.

Compare that to a situation where someone sits down and immediately says, "I have a serious question."

Suddenly the room feels different. The client stares intensely at the cards. The reader feels pressure to be perfect. The client feels pressure to hear every word correctly. Both people become so focused on getting the reading right that they stop relaxing into the experience.

When we become too serious, we sometimes create tension within ourselves. It is similar to someone trying so hard to learn something perfectly that they become stuck. The harder they push, the less naturally the information flows.

Yet when two people connect comfortably, almost like friends having a conversation, the reading often feels stronger. There is openness. There is trust and space for intuition to move.

That is what tea represents to me.

Tea humbles us. It reminds us that we are simply two people sharing a moment together. No one is higher or better than the other. We are walking the same path, learning different lessons, and sharing part of the journey.

Perhaps intuition is not always found in the moments when we are trying the hardest.

Perhaps it is found in the moments when we finally relax enough to listen.

This is also why I don't believe there is one "best" psychic or one "best" healer for everyone.

Different people connect with different personalities, teaching styles, and energies. What feels comfortable and supportive to one person may not feel the same to another, and that's okay.

I don't see readings and healing as a competition. There is room for all of us. Each practitioner brings their own experiences, perspectives, and gifts to the table.

Over time, people naturally gravitate toward those they feel comfortable with, those whose approach resonates with them, and those with whom they can be themselves.

In many ways, finding a reader, healer, or teacher is like finding someone you would enjoy sharing a cup of tea with. The conversation flows naturally. You feel at ease. You feel heard.

When that connection is present, trust grows, and the experience often becomes more meaningful for everyone involved.
